Welcome to Sunday School at St John the Baptist, Knaresborough
Welcome to St John's Sunday school. We're now into the summer term and would like to welcome you all back to Sunday School and a special welcome if you have joined us for the first time this term. We hope you enjoy your time with us.
NEW: Owen's Blog - Owen has been a member of the Sunday School since he was 5 and wants to tell you about Sunday School from his point of view!
We have many fun activities planned for the coming term - planting seeds and potatoes (hopefully ready to harvest in time for the harvest festival later in the year). Look out for news on the Brearton Children's Day and the ever popular Sunday School summer picnic!
Please see our "When we meet" page for further details.
Do not hesitate to contact the Sunday School, either via this site, by phone or in person if you have any questions or suggestions, and we look forward to seeing you!
Sunday School at St John the Baptist in Knaresborough is a well established and well attended group.
Children meet for an hour in the Church Hall starting at 10:30am. The hall is next to the beautiful church of St John the Baptist, on which site there has been a documented place of worship for nearly 900 years!
We welcome children from Reception age upwards. Preschool children are very welcome but we ask that a parent/carer stays as well.
We usually follow a format of a story and a prayer, some singing, and then a craft, game or other related activity. In the summer we like to go outside as much as possible.
Please spend some time having a look at our photos to see what we get upto and then just come and say hello!
If you are new to Sunday School please could you fill in a registration form which can be collected from one of the Sunday School teachers - see link above for example of form
